Just experimenting how to load photos. These were taken on a drive from Weardale to Ingleton for the first dales walk after recovering form an unglamorous injury. Housemaids knee!
Introduction to my Blog
This is my second attempt to start a Blog. First ended in tears as I called it Les The Legend.
When I Googled that I got about 3 million hits for Les Paul the designer of the Gibson Les Paul guitar. Even someone with an ego as big as mine couldn't cope that sort competition.
Next I tried a simple Les Hewitt. That turned out to only have 1 million hits for an American bloke who writes self help Psychology books and is very slick looking and handsome. My ego wouldnt have that either.
So I settled for Hairpin. This was my nickname as a youth as I was very thin and bent. In those days bent described being round shouldered. Or so they told me, and had no conotation with being a criminal as it is used these days on TV programmes such as the Sweeney and the Bill.
When I Googled Hairpin I got loads of hits for a prize in a womans cycle race. The golden Hairpin. I liked that.
So welcome to the blog of Les Hairpin Hewitt.
I hope to write of my up to the moment adventures, and relate those to stuff from my past, and people and places who have influenced my life.
It may all come to nothing, and I may get bored and stop, but at least I will have tried. So watch this space for either something or nothing.
